Frequently asked questions
Is Moldova Dental Journey a dental clinic?
No. We are an independent coordination and information platform. All diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions and clinical follow-up are provided by licensed partner clinics.
How do you choose partner clinics?
Each clinic goes through a documented ten-point review covering licensing, credentials, sterilisation, insurance, consent, emergency arrangements and complaints handling. See the full criteria.
Can you tell me how much my treatment will cost?
Only the treating clinic can quote for your treatment, after reviewing your case. Preliminary estimates can change after an in-person examination. How pricing works.
How many trips will I need?
It depends on the treatment. Crowns may take one trip; implants usually take two or more with months of healing in between. Always get a written timeline before booking travel.
Will my dental insurance pay for treatment abroad?
Sometimes, but often not. Coverage varies by insurer, plan and country. Ask your insurer in writing before you commit — we cannot promise reimbursement.
What happens if I have a problem after I get home?
Contact your treating clinic first — we will help you reach them and coordinate the administrative side. For anything urgent, seek local emergency care straight away. Ask your clinic before treatment how it handles complications.
What languages do you work in?
English, French and Romanian first, with Italian, Spanish and Portuguese next, followed by German and Russian.
Do you charge patients?
Our coordination services are optional and transparently priced, and any fee is agreed in writing before we provide a service. Clinical fees are paid to the clinic.
How do you handle my personal data?
We collect only what we need to coordinate your inquiry, and share health information with a clinic only with your permission. Read our privacy notice.
Do you publish patient testimonials or before-and-after photos?
Only authentic, voluntary reviews with consent. We never use fabricated testimonials or misleading before-and-after photographs.

Aftercare & follow-up
Before you leave Chișinău, make sure you have copies of your treatment records, X-rays and aftercare instructions, plus the clinic's contact details for clinical questions. We will check in with you after your return to coordinate any administrative follow-up and to route clinical questions to your treating dentist.
If something goes wrong
Urgent symptoms — such as heavy bleeding, facial swelling spreading to the eye or neck, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or a high fever — need immediate local emergency care. Do not wait for a reply from us or the clinic.
For non-urgent concerns, contact your treating clinic. If you are unhappy with our coordination service, our complaints procedure explains how we handle it.
